Nutrition is crucial to health, development and well-being. There’s no one-size-fits-all-approach for nutrition. Your health history, stress level, and genetics can all play a role in how your body processes nutrients. What works for a friend may not work for you.

Nutrition and Applied Kinesiology

Kim DeRosier, CNC uses Applied Kinesiology to take the guesswork out of optimizing your health. Applied Kinesiology employs muscle testing to assess the source of a person’s health challenge and determine what approach will bring the person back into balance.

Kim is a firm believer in disease stemming from the gut. After years of suffering from her own health issues and finding no answers through Western medicine, she turned to holistic practitioners and was introduced to muscle testing and applied kinesiology.

Kim believes in the triad of health: biochemical, structural and mental/emotional. She looks at the whole body and how nutrition can help the adjustments made, restoring function to the body. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the supplements available on the market, she can help narrow down what’s most helpful for your body’s needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during my first nutrition appointment?

Your first appointment is a 50-minute session where we take time to understand your health history, symptoms, lifestyle, and goals.

I may also use muscle testing and review any previous labs to help uncover patterns. From there, we begin building a personalized plan to support your digestion, energy, and hormone balance.

How is your approach different from other nutrition programs?

I focus on getting to the root of your symptoms rather than offering a one-size-fits-all plan.

By looking at how digestion, hormones, stress, and nutrients all connect—and using tools like muscle testing—your plan is tailored to your body and can evolve as your needs change.

Do I need lab testing to work with you?

Not always.

We can often start with your symptoms and health history. If additional testing would be helpful, I’ll guide you so you’re not left guessing about what to do next.

Will I need to take a lot of supplements?

It depends on your unique situation.

Your needs can vary based on medications, health history, lab results, and how your body is functioning. Some supplements may be recommended for a period of time, while others may not be needed at all.

If supplements are used, I prioritize high-quality options and keep your plan simple and intentional.

How long does it take to see results?

Many women notice small shifts within the first few weeks, especially with energy or digestion.

More complex concerns can take more time, but the focus is always on steady, sustainable progress—not quick fixes.
